I have been spending most of my web work time on Steemit and setting up all of the new subdomains for this site.

These subdomains are a really tedious project. Each of the currently thirteen subdomain has it’s own WordPress install. It took quite a while to figure out what theme I wanted to go with. After trying a bunch out and then messing with a child theme of the 2017 theme for quite a while, I finally turned to the familiar stripped down Bootstrap.

I figured out a general navigation layout to start with. Now I am just going though one site at a time and putting all the menus together and installing the base plugins I use.

The stripped down Bootstrap theme is pretty basic looking and far from polished, but so is everything about my site under the front page. There is a lot to work with and I think base will be a good solid foundation to do my writing in. We all know that appearance matters, but content and function are truly king.

I’m not sure what to do about distributing the content I make on this site to Steemit. I don’t want to just copy and paste the material from here to there, but for the moment, that is what I am going to do.
